What Hands Tell Us

According to Aristotle, hands are the “tools of tools” — that is, they are expressive and individually unique. In this piece, I depicted the dynamics between masculinity and femininity, as well as between various races and ethnicities through an emphasis on muscles, joints, and hand positions. Adding more energy to the piece, I render a different gesture for each hand to convey urgency in some and passivity in others.
