May You All Rest in Power

 2021,  ink on silk shroud, 261 x 23”.

Among the many changes COVID-19 has brought us in our everyday realities, the most tragic effect has been the death of millions around the world. Using a Korean traditional silk shroud as a base, I drew hundreds of individuals that passed away during the pandemic. This is a piece intended to commemorate them all — those who died unexpectedly, those who struggled greatly from the sickness, and those who sacrificed their lives by working in the medical field. The sacrifices are never ending; hence, the continuous shroud that is not fully un-scrolled. May they rest in peace and power.
